Many thanks to Jerry Ewing for mentioning A. A. Williams in the Prog magazine! The aspect that made me love this record this much was its atmosphere. Her voice, the fragile sounding, well structured slowly developing songs, the raw energy of the distorted guitars, the poetic lyrics, all this accompanied by mesmerising drum rhythms that seem to just guide the music. If anyone would ask me about a great contemporary pop/alternative record, this might be the album I'm going to point at.

Conjurer is a special band. I can't put my finger on it, but I love everything this band does and Mire is my favorite album from them. It is one of my favorite albums of all time. Conjurer's songs are so musically dynamic, alternating tempo, harmonies, growls/screams. It is terrific. I love their use of major harmonies as well. I can't play this album while I do anything else because it keeps pulling my attention back to the music, and I hear something new on each listen.
